The Countdown

Through ***Dave and Doyce, I traced this back to ktbuffy (sexy boots!), Yi Shun and then to Angelic Monkey. There, the trail ends and, alas, they all suffer from the same pair of errors:

  1. There are only 9 "firsts".
  2. There are only 7 "have you evers".

Regardless, here we go. Maybe I'll make up my own extras to fill in the gaps where something's missing.

A great list, Ian! I enjoyed reading it! Hope you don't mind but I think I'll borrow it for my blog too.

Pam was your first boy/girl friend? Me confused.

I stumbled on this by chance, yay ego-searches. We've both been busy but I owe you a thank you.

I figured while I'm at it I should make an attempt at embarrassing you in semi-public. By telling you what I think of you as a person. You are one of the most caring and generous people I have met. You know how to be there when a person is in need and give them what they want, disregarding your own wishes if need be.

Oh. Did you want a short comment? *snickers*

Even absent Ian *pokes* I still have fond memories of you and some of our escapades!

Sue, you can borrow anything off my site anytime you want. Actually, I consider anything I put up on here as open season.

I may have to reconsider if I start putting up business material. In that case, I may just set up another site.

No, not www.carpetmatchesdrapes.com. That was an idea that fizzled out.

James, what confuses you about it? Is it that the relationship ever happened or that it happened that late in life?

What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander:

Katyia, I never have to worry about people crowding my space when I'm with you because you have so much room in your heart for all of us. You are loyal and compassionate, to the point where it hurts, and yet you persevere. You are a fighter. Many before you would have crumbled. Behind that sometimes tough exterior is a woman who loves people and wants to make a difference.

You rock.

How many escapades did we go on? They all seem to start blurring together after awhile, though I remember that one really chintzy restaurant for your birthday with a big bunch of your girlfriends, and that one long walk through the rain that chanced us on the Wallflowers playing at the Virgin Megastore in Union Square.

My favourite, though, has got to be the time we dressed up and went to Smith and Wollensky (as opposed to the time we went right after rollerblading) and I think we even wandered over to the W and hung out in the lounge afterwards. The trips to Serendipity follow pretty closely.

The one I value most is the one where you took me out the day I lost my job and wouldn't let me forget that I had a great life, even greater without the job.

That's (just a part of) who you are for me.
