The Countdown

Through ***Dave and Doyce, I traced this back to ktbuffy (sexy boots!), Yi Shun and then to Angelic Monkey. There, the trail ends and, alas, they all suffer from the same pair of errors:

  1. There are only 9 "firsts".
  2. There are only 7 "have you evers".

Regardless, here we go. Maybe I'll make up my own extras to fill in the gaps where something's missing.

No, I don't want Asian pussy

In the past week, some comment spammer has found my site and hit it with 104 spam comments, all of it centered around pr0n of all flavours. If this keeps up, I may have to turn on TypeKey or some other comment spam blocker so that my email doesn't get nailed with notifications every time another shows up.

Or maybe there's a quick way for me to run a script against any entry older than three months and set them Closed for comments.

Irony would dictate that this message should attract the next comment spam that arrives.

Bursting the Bubble

If you ever thought that bubbles could only be clear, with little rainbow effects when they catch the right light, then you may be overjoyed to find out that one man's ten-year quest to create coloured bubbles has succeeded.

If you didn't care, then maybe you should go back to kicking puppies.

We all look the same

Think you can tell the difference between the various East Asians?

For what it's worth, I only got half of them myself.

WoW Jumpstart

I'm back to playing on Uther server after a little foray onto Lightbringer, Kil'jaeden, Dark Iron and Emerald Dream.

I had some friends to hang out with on Lightbringer, who then moved to Kil'jaeden, but I simply don't play often enough to see them that often and these days I have no idea where they've gone. I should probably bug Drew to give me the phone number of the other Drew to figure out what's up, or at least to say hi.

Dark Iron, what can I say? I had this misguided idea that I'd somehow play regularly enough to join the folks over at Panda Attack, but I didn't even make it up to the level 20 entrance cutoff before I got distracted. Admittedly, I really liked playing my Tauren Shaman, Lactophobia, but at some point picking up my "main" was more attractive.

My "main" (not often played, but the highest level character I have) is a level 45 Human Rogue that was only 43 a week ago. Rest bonus is awesome. I picked up the character again after running into some of my brother-in-law's friends back in September. I guess this week I actually had some time to play.

Off to bang on pirates. It's a shame I can't get one of their hats.
