Hi, you've just been busted

Local radio station KTU (103.5 FM) has this bit that they do in the morning based on this craze over prank calls. They call theirs the Ball Buster and it's done by one of the DJ's, Balthazar. Now, this guy sounds familiar and I could have sworn I heard him over on Z100 (100.3 FM) a few months back doing it under a different title, Nutcracker. Anyway, it was infrequent on Z100 but it's daily on KTU. The basic premise is that someone calls in and asks him to do a Ball Buster on someone they know. Play a practical joke on my friend on morning radio, basically.

Yesterday, I heard one that really made me scratch my head. It's not that it was funny, because he's had some pretty good success ripping into some people in the past, but the thing that came up yesterday just sounded like an incredibly stupid thing to do on the part of the person commissioning the Ball Buster. The victim was a college student. The instigator was her roommate. Apparently, this college student had purchased a term paper in macroeconomics off the Internet and submitted it. The instigator had Balthazar call up the victim pretending to be the Dean's Office busting her for submitting a paper from the Internet.

Okay, sure, maybe that's all in good fun and it sounded like the victim was laughing it off when she found out it was just a joke, but...

The poetic justice vigilante in me wants some administrator from this girl's college hear that on the radio, check in on the open confession that she made on-air, and bust her ass. Boy, wouldn't that roommate feel like a real dipshit then...
